Twitter @arctickevinw
In January 2013, Kevin is taking part in a tough challenge in Norway. Enduring temperatures as low as -20o C, and snow as deep as your waist, camping in snow holes, tents and makeshift shelters he is attempting to raise £5000 for the RNLI
We are supporting him with equipment and donations from our revenue, but we need your help to raise this sum. We will be running events throughout 2012 to help raise funds. See our “charity” page for details

Local news
“H.M.S. Ark Royal to be sunk to be used as an artificial reef in Torbay”.
The Ark Royal, once the pride of the British Royal Navy is being purchased to be sunk of Torquay, Devon to be used as an artificial reef for local and worldwide scuba divers. It will be the second largest artificial reef in the world and is expected to bring in substantial revenue for the ‘bay and local businesses. It follows the footsteps of H.M.S. Scylla, sunk a few years ago of the South East corner of Cornwall.
Once all the formalities of local and national “red tape” has been finalized it its hoped that she will be placed on site, sometime in 2012. Perhaps a bigger draw than the 2012 Olympics, and not as expensive?

Before booking your airport transfer or private hire service, please heed the following!
In the vast majority of the UK, If you hire a service for up to 8 passenger seats, the company, driver and vehicle must normally be licensed by the local council as a taxi or private hire service. (This does not include wedding or funeral cars). For vehicles capable of carrying 9 or more passenger seats, The company and vehicle must be licensed as PSV with VOSA, for any type of private hire (proms, corporate events etc.)The driver must have a PSV licence.
This includes any airport parking services located in fields etc. in and around airports with “free” transfers. Always use the authorized airport parking facilities
For identification purposes all vehicles will carry, either a council issued plate on the rear of the vehicle for up to 8 seats, or for larger P.S.V. vehicles, they will display either an orange, blue or green disc in the front window area. If your vehicle turns up with these missing, check with the licensing authorities listed in our links page
If you ride in any unlicensed vehicles, then you put your safety at risk and force the legal trade out of business
